Canton Texas 4th of July 2026 — celebrating America's 250th anniversary with parade, watermelon eating contest, bicycle decorating contest, and fireworks

A 250-year celebration worth showing up for.

This isn't just any 4th of July — it's America's 250th birthday, a once-in-a-lifetime moment marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. And there's no better place to celebrate it than Historic Downtown Canton.

We're rolling out the red, white, and blue with everything that makes our small-town 4th special: a hometown parade down Buffalo Street, a bicycle decorating contest for the kids, a watermelon eating contest, and one of the best fireworks shows in East Texas to cap off the night.

Bring your lawn chairs, your family, and your American pride. This is the 4th of July you'll be telling your grandkids about.
